After my runs I feel exuberant, powerful, mentally tough and sharp, accomplished, autonomous, self-reliant, joyful, whole. Now that running has returned as my lifestyle, my entire life feels like I do after each run. My confidence is extreme, my drive and sense of purpose is unwavering. I feel indescribably energetic. I eat well, I sleep well, I think better, and I feel emotionally well. I may seem like a carried-away zealot. Good. I am certainly a missionary man when it comes to getting into physical shape first, mental shape second, and relational shape third. In this order. Yes, I am preaching what I practice. You’re more than welcome to attend my church of consistent running. And if that seems too much, just walk. Daily. Goodnight.
